# Login Error Fedora 2 #
I have Fedora 2 installed on Dell Dimension 2400. When I log into GNOME as a normal user I get the following error:
Could not look up internet address for
x1-6-00--0d-56-58-92-59
This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly.
It may be possible to correct the problem by adding (above address)
to the file /etc/hosts
Now everything seems to have been running great and have access to cable
internet with no problems there. How do I configure the /etc/hosts file to get
rid of this nag screen. Basically I just ignore it and continue on.
When I installed I allowed DHCP to configure it. I am not network savy and would just loke to get rid of it.
when I had DSL through BellSouth this never happened and when was
"user"@localhost.localdomain ...... now is
"user"@x1-6-00--0d-56-58-92-59 "user"]$
ANY help would be appreciated ..... and Thanks!
