logging into Samba as Root

Hi

I got Samba working on RH9 fine but only can get in as a nornal user

i need to login as root so i can access other files to backup etc

how can i allow root access?

Maybe you forgot to give root a samba password.....
smbpasswd -a root
then ente the password for root.

argh!

when i click on the host in windows it connects automatically! no question of a pass........

how can i get it to ask me so i can login as root?

rebooted the windows machine and it now asks for a password again but samba wont allow root in...

i added a pass for root also.
