I have shared my printer (at least it seams like it) and a mac is connected to the same network as I am. I want to install the shared linux printer to the mac, I think it needs a dns or ip and I don't even know how to get that, I've search all over LQ and nothing similar, Please help, thanks.

On the Mac side;

If your using OS9.xx go to apple menu chooser, double click on appletalk (make sure it's active) click on the server button and type in the IP address of your linux box. Your linux box should appear in the window, double click it and provide the username and password for your linux box.

Other things you need to look into are control panel TCP/IP settings. If there are few machines on your network, then I assume that one of them is a DNS server, so make sure your make is getting the right info adn has the right settings.
