Exclamation Linux can only access google! =S

I've recently changed over to sky broadband and have changed to a DG834GT wireless router. My laptop runs Ubuntu and uses the wireless to access the internet with no problems. However my desktop machine is connected to the router by an Ethernet cable which is plugged into one of the four sockets at the back of the router along with a couple of other desktop machines. My desktop is dual booted with Windows XP and several other Linux distributions.

The problem i am having is that Windows seems to be able to detect my networks router with no problems and i can access the internet with no problems. However, several Linux distro's ( OpenSuse, Fedora, Gentoo, Ubuntu and Debian ) all are unable to access the web except for google. All of google pages load! Googlemail, googlevideos and even search results load! However clicking on one of there results or browsing to another sites will not load.

Even gaim is able to connect to my MSN account.

I've tried disabling the routers firewall with still no luck.

At the moment i am using OpenSUSE 10.2 on my desktop machine, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
- i0null

It's probably a DNS problem. Are you using dhcp on all the distros that don't work or static ips? Dhcp should automatically detect your new DNS servers from your present ISP. However, if your statically configured you have to tell the system the location of the new DNS server.

You can test to see if this is a DNS problem. Type this in your browser address bar and hit the Enter button:

198.182.196.56

That's the numeric ip of linux.org. If you can connect to linux.org with their numeric ip but not with their domain name address, it's a DNS problem for sure. Then it's just a question of editing /etc/resolve.conf to add the ips for your new ISP's DNS servers.
