hey,

ive successfully installed Driverloader and loaded my drivers onto the card, ive set a new network device in the network config, and set the hardware device to eth1. although when i boot up, i get failed, cannot get ip address...

ive checked to see if it can see the access point. thats fine. so i did 'iwconfig eth1'. it says this:

Code:
IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"THORNBUSH" Nickname:"localhost.localdomain"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462Ghz Bit Rate=54mb/s TX-Power=16 dBm
RTS thr:off Fragment thr: off
Encryption Key:25D1-507C-6D
Power Management:off
Link Quality:0 Signal Level:0 Noise Level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invald misc:0 Missed beacon:0
i just cant connect to the access point. the key is correct for the access point and ive checked the faq on the DriverLoader site with no luck.

Thanks if anyone can help

umm i noticed that my router is set at 2.457Ghz, whereas the card is set as 2.462Ghz, when i try 'iwconfig eth1 freq 2.457G' it dosent change.

any ideas?

EDIT: i cannot change any values through the terminal, cant change channel or freq...

EDIT:

i type

Code:
iwlist scan
and the router info comes up fine, with the right freq ( 2.457 ) and name etc etc... but i still cant change the freq on the card to the same as the router
