Link Failure and Auto Negotiation Time

Hi all,
I wanted to ask is there any way that I can change the time Linux Networking takes to detect that a link is failed? What is the default time?

I don't think this is runtime configurable, but instead something compiled into the kernel. If you need something customized, then I'd recommend being able to compile the network drivers.

It is indeed possible that the driver has some issues. However you haven't done tests to prove what is going on. What tests that may be I am not sure of however. Some events may be reported in different logs or could be set to report maybe. Some --very verbose setting on parts of network. Conduct test with patch and then crossover maybe to see. Force the settings and see maybe. Replacing the switch or hub or other tests maybe.
