Limiting Client Browsing Time With Gateway

Hi Everybody, I'm using a SuSE 8.2 linux box for a gateway at my house through which all my client boxes go through. I am using shorewall to do that NATing and i'm also using some DSNIFF apps like DNS Spoof and URL Snarf to log and block some HTTP Traffic. There are some "public use" computer on the network that i want to make it so that those computers can't access the net after say, 12:00am until about 7:00am. Any ideas how i can implement this?

I'm new to the networking field, but with my simpleton brain I think one could just create a crontab entry that adds/removes an entry to iptables/ipchains that restricts/allows connections from those IP's to the outside net.

I'm sure someone has a better idea....
