hello everyone!!

i have successfully completed wireless Lan authentication and accounting on redhat9.Now i want to do the same in the case of wired lan. Do any over here know such tool's tutorials, application that is opensource .

I think everybody is a bit confused. Actually my server act's as gateway to the lan computers for internet browsing. So i want them to authenticate first ,Then again take accounting information of that user's total time on the internet.I work in a hotel so this has become a major tasks for me now..

i'd wonder if you actually need network authentication, but rather proxy authentication? this would naturally cover any access technology not just wires. maybe you want to look at a porduct like this? http://evc.fromru.com/squid2mysql/features.html
