Hi, I connect my computer trough a router that assign me an ip ( the protocol is dhcp ). That one also does NAT, but I don't know if it does SNAT
(Sending network address translation) or DNAT (Destination network address translation ). What can I do to discover which kind of NAT it provides to me.

well you can read the manual for the router... generally speaking a NAT is normally DNAT, but devices like ADSL routers do SNAT (Source NAT) or IP Masquarading to hide private lans behidn a public address.

If an user,client,box from outside (initiating connection) requests to connect to any port of your router's-ip & its being forwarded to your box; then its DNATing what is done by your router, Though effectively it is also doing SNATing while sending these packets back.

If you open any website from your box; & then your router sends it OUT to internet; its SNAT. By the way SNAT is SourceNAT & not sendingNAT.
