is a cluster for me

hi there,

what i'm looking at doing is setting up a webserver/mail server and it is virtual that is stays up, so what i want to do is setup a file server running raid on it's own and then mount the space on my web-server/mail server.

i also want the webserver-mail server running in what i think it a cluster, so they will have identical users/postfix configuration, etc.

should i be looking into clusters if so, cam someone point me in the direction of a good how-to guide?

U're not looking at clustering!

All you are looking for is resiliance - you don't want anything to break or lose your data.

rather than describing what you think you need, what is the end result you are looking for?

Are you using two servers to do this or just one?
What sort of load are you looking to get?
What sort of spec are the servers?

What's wrong with what you have at the moment?

Are you looking to back all this up or are you using RAID to do this?

So many questions, so little answers!
