IPV6 Router on a LAN

Hello my guru fellows...here I am...yet another time, to ask for your help regarding this nice OS also known as Linux
Ooooooook: here's the question...
I have a linux box which acts as a router with Slackware 10.2 on it.
iptables is configured so I can share my connection with another machine on which I use that shiny-looking-sexy-game-console-soft XP.
Now I wanted to try the ipv6 protocol and I found some tutorials on how to do that but if I configure ipv6 on the router, will it be possible to share my connection with win-lost?
I hope I was clear enough
Thanks to anyone...any help appreciated

Enabling IPv6 should have no ill effect on your IPv4 traffic. I run IPv4/IPv6 dual stack on multiple FC4 machines in my home, and use a tunnel broker (freenet6.net) for v6 (thru a v4 tunnel) to the outside world. The freenet account costs nothing and gives you a global scope IPv6 address prefix.

WinXP supports IPv6, although I've not activated it on the only XP box in my home.

If your Slack box fronts the Hell and Chaos of the Internet, you should probably stand up ip6tables.

Cheers,
Jay

Thanks for your answer
So I don't need to enable ipv6 on WinXP if I enable it on Slack?
The Router-Box is going to share its connection even if I don't setup ipv6 on XP?
Excuse me for my ignorance but I think it's better to ask before screwing up this configureation I have finally made

Depends... If you want your XP box to speak IPv6 at all, you'll need to enable it on the XP box. But you don't *have* to enable it. It'll talk IPv4 just fine whether or not IPv6 is enabled on your router box.

Yes. Let's say your XP box is connected to Slack's eth1 nic for IPv4 access to the Internet. Enabling IPv6 on Slack's eth1 will have no ill effect on XP's IPv4 access to the Internet.
