ip route problem!!

Hi to all,

I'm facing problems with the ip route command.

I want to load balance traffic on a per-packet basis from PC_A(192.168.10.10) to PC_B(192.168.10.2) and PC_C(192.168.10.3). Each PC has 1 NIC (eth0).

During my searches, i found about implementing a "load balanced" default route using the following command:

ip route add default scope global equalize nexthop dev ppp0 weight 1 nexthop dev ppp2 weight 1 nexthop dev ppp3 weight 1 nexthop dev ppp4 weight 1

This works for a 1-to-1 ip address relationship since nexthop has only one ip address. What command do I use for 1-to-many ip address relationship, as in the above scenario?

Warm regards,
Visham

The point of load balancing is to use two different paths between two end hosts. You seem to be trying to split an IP flow between two end hosts, why would you want to do this? What is PC B going to do with half of an IP flow? If you tried to establish a TCP connection your SYN would go to PC_B and your ACK would go to PC_C totally confusing both. Prehaps you need to rethink your plan here a little bit.

Or are PC_B and C acting as routers?
