IP address

I know this is probably a stupid question, but how do you find out what your IP address is under linux? Is there a command for that?

Yes.
To get your IP and other information, type: ifconfig

If you are logged in as a normal user, the /sbin directory may not be in your path, so type:
Code:
/sbin/ifconfig
