Internet Connection - NAT

Hi everyone,

I have a linux box connected to the internet and I'd like to share the connection to the other two windows boxes at home. I've found a lot of tutorials on how to set the nat rules through iptables, but the problem is I only have one ethernet interface on my linux box, and I' really like it to remain this way, and most of the tutorials covered configuration with 2 interfaces.
Can anyone help me configure this properly or at least tell me where I can find the right information?

Thanks a lot

If you want the internet connection to go to your linux box, then to your other computers.... you will most likely need at least one more NIC.... (eth0 for the internet connection and eth1 to your internal network).... the easiest way to share your connection without having to install another NIC is to actually buy a router (with NAT and DHCP). That way, you could have the internet go to your router, then go to each computer without the need for multiple NICs in one or more computer. I have used, in the past, the linksys BEFSR41 router (cost about $40) and never had any problems connecting 3 or more computers at a time, and was actually easier than the network I'm trying to set up now (which involves two NICs in one box). That router does the DHCP for you, so it may be the best way for you to go if you're looking for simplicity...
