Hello To every1 ,
Well im new to Linux , Only few days old

Actually im having a problem accessing Internet from my RH9 OS .
Let me give u some overview of my Internet ...

Im working in a LAN based environment & my Server has windows 2000 installed on it . I access my Internet through Domain in windows ( by supplying authentication ) ... My browsing is on Proxy & my messenger run without proxy ...

Now i have configure the Network right i think on Rh9 , as i can ping different machines on network including my server n proxy machines ...
also i can use nmap surely from RH9 ....

But the problem is of Browsing n Yahoo messenger ....I have configure Proxy on mozilla but it gives me "PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED )

One thing More i have ISA SERVER

it usually give me 407 suthentication error

...Now my messenger on windows work on No proxies option , i did same in RH 9 but it was not getting connected ....

I hope i have explainned in a detail way , Plz tell me how can i run Internet on RH9

quite probably your network admins want to know who surfs and where, and they use ISA as application firewall to get security (or eavesdropping - depending on the point of view) on a per-user basis. If it's that there might be no solution, because ISA will allow connections only from machines that have a windows-only firewall client running.

So wht ur saying is tht i won't be able to run inetrnet under these Circumstances ......... ???

Should i cange the distro ??? or Should i go for Modem ???

I personally think there should be some way out here , in present circumstances
