"Intel Pro/1000 CT Network Connection" Install Help

OK, here is the problem:

I have the Intel Pro/1000 CT Network Connection (attachted) on my motherboard (so no physical installation needed) and i would like to have internet access for my RedHat Linux 9.0 so i dont have to keep switching from Linux to Windows just for Internet. I went to setup network, but my card wasnt on the list. I installed the drivers (up to and including 'make install') and they installed fine. however, the card is still not on the list, and I would REALLY apperciate some help plz!

Sorry I must be missing something here. What list? do you mean the /proc/net/dev files list?

uhh the list of devices you can choose from (to get there go to

Start type thingy --> System Tools --> Network Connections Wizard (something like that) --> click etherenet --> then other device --> click next --> and there is a list of devices

I have a like issue with this device and dist. When doing the installation of the dist, I am not prompted for any information for this device. How did you get the driver to load? Did you install see the device?
