Installed Ubuntu on VMware Player on two separate m/c's.Cannot PING from one to other


Hi everyone. I'm new to Linux. As i described in the Subject i have installed Ubuntu on VMware Player on two separate machines having Windows XP as host OS.

My problem is that i cannot ping from one Virtual machine(PC1) to other that is on the different machine(PC2).I require this for my project work.

Help me over this..

You would need to ensure both vm's are using the Bridged network type, not NAT or Host Only.

Thank you for this. It worked, but i am unable to connect to the Internet(Wired). I need
both the things to work.

Does your network have a dhcp server that provides all the relevant information? ... or are the interfaces on the vm's configured manually ?
