Individual (per user) bandwidth management in gateway
Folks,
I have a GW/Proxy/FW machine which controls access from/to my LAN to/from the Internet. My eth0 connects to the Internet, and my eth1 goes to a switch thru which all local machines talk to my GW. Now, here is my question: is there any way of assigning the available Bandwidth (BW) to Internet for each individual local machine? E.g., let say I have 512Kbps available at my eth1, how could I tell my GW to allot just 128Kbps to IP 192.168.1.100? and so forth... is there any app or distro out there which works out this magic?
So, either Squid or IP Masquerade seem to do the magic trick for BW limiting! great! I'll look into it! Thanks a lot for the tip. I appreciate it!
Regards.
