ifconfig missing

Hi all.

When starting my REDHAT 9 install I run a terminal and type ifconfig.

This results in

bash: ifconfig: command not found

However if I look in /sbin/ I find te ifconfig command and can run it by typing

./ifconfig

and it works.

Where do I set the commands so i can type then in any location and they work.

Many thanks
