https appears "blocked" by router netgear tomato ??

Hi,

I have an apache server that serves up my webpages, email etc all working perfectly over http inside and outside lan. I am trying to get https setup. I have it working within my home network but as soon as I try and connect from outside my lan i get the following error.

"The connection to mydomain.com has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been transferred."

The router is a netgear with tomato 1.25. I have forwarded 443 and 80.

I know this is a bit vauge but any suggestions of things to try to try and work out where the problem is would be helpful. I have checkout the httpd access, error, ssl_error and ssl_access logs but nothing appears suggesting the request is not getting as far as the server. I assume this is not a server firewall problem as I can access on my lan and tried with it down as well. To me this points to the router but this does not make sense seeing as the port is forwared 443....

Could this be an issue with tomato 1.25 ?

Thanks,

Pete.

I don't have a lot of experience with apache server, but you can try just "telnet" to its IP (not something.com) and port 443.

And router should have some logs as well.
