http://localhost does not work!

I installed RH 7.2 and when I go into my browser and type in http://localhost it says something about netscape.com not found.

I can ping localhost, and the ip of my machine and this works fine. So my hosts file should be right.

Any suggestions?

Its trying to load whatever the default apache installation on your machines is. Are you sure you installed apache? To find out:

httpd restart

If you are trying to configure Samba with Swat, you have to specify http://localhost:901

Cheers,
