HTTP downloads hangs

Newbie here,

RH8.0 on my machine connected by 100BT NIC directly to Linksys Wireess-B router (and DSL beyond). I was noticing that downloading large files, via webpages, on my WinXP machine (connected by USB wireless) hangs before the files complete. My new Linux box has same problem, making it difficult to download rpms and the like. How can I use Linux to start debugging this?

The linux box is probably going to be barfing a ton of errors into /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages. Really though just post the output of "dmesg" and we'll see what's there.

Offhand, what drivers are you using?

Cheers,

Finegan
