Are you a member of both subnet classes ? (i mean do you have two ethernet cards at your box ?) One belonging to Class A (you alread have this(10.100.100.11)) & other belonging to class C 192.168.10.0/24 ?
Or is it possible that you can ping both subnets from your present configuration box ?
How do you do the name resolutions while you surf net from your proxy server ?
Okay, first of all, the proxy server has not been up yet.
I'm using 10.100.100.1 as my gateway/router to reach internet.
My machine (all my LAN workstations) will only have 1 LAN card. All i want is to be able to ping my proxy test server (192.168.10.1) and go out to my second ISP (as an alternative).
Meaning that i might have one default gw which is 10.100.100.1 but i also want to be able to ping another subnet which is 192.168.10.0.
What is this 10.100.100.1 box ? Do you have rights to change its routing table ?
Does at any instance(at any router) your 10.x network & 192.x network get connect to each other ?
Look as you said, that all your clients are on 10.100.100.x subnet & you want to setup a new proxy(isp2) on 192.x subnet & want all your clients internet traffic to redirect to this 192.x subnet hosted proxy server. In this case, at root level me must ensure that at first your clients should be able to ping this 192.x box; so either setup a box with two ethernet cards one belonging each to these two subnets & then thereafter we can go ahead with the solution you want to achieve.
