i try to install portsentry
Portsentry isn't worth the trouble: please ditch it. It's obsolete, lacking features.
Besides that the source code has been gathering dust on SF since 2003 after Cisco aquired Abacus.
If you want to run a real FOSS IDS that's actively being expanded, maintained and contributed to and has a supporting community: check out Snort or Prelude.
