How to shutdown a remote (windows) PC

My Linux PC is connected to another PC that runs Windows. How can I remotely shutdown the Win PC?

The two PC's controll an industrial PC. The Linux PC is the PC that the machine's operator uses. The Windows PC is a sort of an invisible client PC. The operator shuts down the Linux PC, in this process the Windows PC should be terminated as well. But how? The PC's are connected via a little local network

One way I know of, although it requires purachasing some software, is to install Microsoft Services for Unix on the Windows client. This will give you many unix abilities and the ability to telnet in to the machine and run a command line shutdown.

If the Windows system is important this would be a good investment.
