How to setup a gateway

I have a local network and using a linux machine as a gateway to get the internet connection. The gateway machine has two Ethernet cards, shownd below:

local network: 192.168.1.2

campus network:149.70.239.16
campus gateway: 149.70.239.1

I need help to setup the linux gateway machine so that I can get internet connection from all my local machines.

Can I just use route command to do it? Or Do I have to use iptables?

Thanks!!!

Fei

Yes, you will have to use the NAT capabilities of iptables. There are some good tutorials to get you started at the iptables website.
