Thumbs up how to pipeline to search tcpdump's data


sudo tcpdump -i eth0 | grep 'data here'

is the above command correct?

when i search 'ip'

it has color output, it seems correct

well that may work, but it's pointless, use the tool properly:

sudo tcpdump -vn -i eth0 host <ip address>
