How to launch ipop3d "daemonized"?

Hi folks,

I would like to launch ipop3d daemonized from the startup scripts in rc3.d, but I can't find any switches to make it happen. If I use what I came up with in rc3.d, ipop3d launches, but it launches in "interactive mode" during boot up, and so it fails. Does anyone know where to get information on ipop3d and how to launch it daemonized (not from xinetd or inetd)?

thanks
