How to install Suse 9.0 via ftp "as a virtual machine(vmware)" in windows-XP host

I have a running Windows-XP Professional with 3 nics (3com905C-XM, Realtek 8029 and D-Line DFX whatever). I have a ADSL connection to the internet, which has been established through a DSL-modem and one of the nics available.

I installed recently vmworkstation 4.0. I downloaded the image of the boot cd from suse_ftp mirror and burned it to a cd. I created a new guest on the vmworkstation and the vm booted with the burned cd. However, since the rest of the installation files reside in the ftp servers in the internet I should have make an internet connection first, in order to download them into the virtual machine. The nic-modules could not being loaded neither.

Is is possible - even if I'd succeed to load the right nic modules for my network cards - to make such an installation from the virtual machine, at all? Does anyone have any experience with that?
