If your given ip is in same network then you can use arp to get mac address of given IP.

Code:

# arp -a -n

With the help of ifconfig command you can get your own computers MAC address

Code:

ifconfig | grep -i hwaddr

You can use arping to get arp of any PC in your network. eg.

# arping -I eth0 10.1.1.10
