How to correct RX overrun packets in an interface

Hi all,

In a Dell 1750 box with Intel Pro 1000 network card and Broadcom 4 Gbit card I see many RX overrun packets in two interfaces. The traffic in these interfaces is large, but not too large for the Dell to handle it. Is there any way to correct these overrun errors, by increasing some buffer?

I changed the net.core.netdev_max_backlog parameter to 2000 (it was 300) but the errors remain.

Do you think that a new network driver will solve this issue?

Thanks in advance

Ellie
