I don't know, but I see no reason to believe that it has changed from 32 bit. For a start, for packets to be networked through to the new sockets the Internet Protocol would have to be changed to allow larger socket designations, and that hasn't happened. OK, well it has with IPV6, in a sort-of backward way, but that is the order of change we are talking about needing for the number of sockets to be increased. And note that you don't need a 64 bit OS (or even a 32 bit OS) to run IPV6.
Have you had a look in /etc/services on your 64 bit OS to confirm?
