fedora 18 will hit it's End Of Life on Jan 10 2014
in about 7 WEEKS it dies ( R.I.P )
there will never be any more support for fedora 18 after that , it will be basically dead
there is a linux dialer http://www.tataphoton.com/tata-photo...ad-dialer.aspx
as to is it will run on fedora ?
unknown fedora is after all a "Research and Development Testing " distro and is often TOO NEW for most things
JohnVV is right, though...an upgrade is certainly a wise idea, but you can most probably get your dongle working without it. Most of the time you just need to run usb_modeswitch, then use whatever network manager you wish to configure your connection.
