how can i connect the internet in ubunto 9.10

i m using ubunto 9.10 since i cant able to connect the internet can anyone say this fully

Have you tried the ubuntu forums yet? Can you tell me what you've already tried?

You may want to try searching for Network Manager on the forums and look at starting, or restarting it.

There's a bit problem with ubuntu karmic(9.10) networking manager, so there is a blog or in ubuntuforum.com to solve that. Basically you have to upgrade and download the new network manager. Or manually;
If you using ADSL connection , you can configure something like this

sudo pppoeconf

after you follow and write, you can connect with

sudo pon-dslprovider

to disconnect

sudo poff-a

and if you using static IP , you can edit the eth and IP address

sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces
