I'm a newbie and confused! Confusion is my normal state, not necessarily become I'm a newbie.
On my machine (Red Hat 9) I executed the following ...
[root@www bin]# /sbin/iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8080
Everything worked as intended.
On a friend's machine, running Red Hat 7.3, I did the same, here's what I got ...
[root@www bin]# /sbin/iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8080
iptables v1.2.5: can't initialize iptables table `nat': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.
[root@www bin]# rpm -q iptables
iptables-1.2.5-3
How do I get it to work on his machine?
Thanks
