getting by blocked ports
due to a new isp most of the ports are firewalled and either closed or filtered. this disables (which is the reason of all this) the function of all file-sharing programs i've tried. i ran a port-scanner from my server on my box and had the following results:
Port State Service
25/tcp filtered smtp
111/tcp filtered sunrpc
135/tcp filtered loc-srv
137/tcp filtered netbios-ns
138/tcp filtered netbios-dgm
139/tcp filtered netbios-ssn
161/tcp filtered snmp
162/tcp filtered snmptrap
411/tcp filtered rmt
412/tcp filtered synoptics-trap
417/tcp filtered onmux
427/tcp filtered svrloc
445/tcp filtered microsoft-ds
524/tcp filtered ncp
587/tcp filtered submission
608/tcp filtered sift-uft
635/tcp filtered unknown
1025/tcp open listen
1080/tcp filtered socks
1433/tcp filtered ms-sql-s
2049/tcp filtered nfs
2301/tcp filtered compaqdiag
3128/tcp filtered squid-http
3306/tcp open mysql
5000/tcp filtered fics
6112/tcp filtered dtspc
6699/tcp filtered napster
all the ports scanned and not in the list are closed.
now on to my question: is there any file-sharing program i can use that will work with these ports, or is there any way to get by this problem. i really would like to get access to files again.
thanks in advance. any suggestion is appreciated.
