General Web Server

Hey, Names Adam. And I've been searching this forum for a while, and really cannot find what i'm looking for. I need to get an apache server running MySQL, and PHP. On a Ubuntu 5.10. I am a total noob when it comes to linux, but very fast with computers, and now a lot about "how the web works". I've set up this same config on Mac OS X. And I can use Terminal, in Mac OS X (10.4.4). So i am use to some of the commands here in Linux. If any can help me with this i will be very thankful.

There's a tutorial for doing this from scratch at http://www.lamphowto.com/lamp.htm. Although it's done on a Redhat box, the first thing they do is remove the rpms and then install from source so if you're looking to compile and install it should do the job.

You can ignore the steps involving rpm - they're only to remove the rpm packages so that everything can be installed from sources.
