firewall with samba

i was finally able to configure samba with firewall disabled ..... but i dont wanna keep firewall disabled for long time ... does anyone know wot port samba operates on ?
maybe i can open it on my ethernet ...
with firewall samba shares are not accessible .. but with firewall disabled they r working fine ..
so pllz help me with this firewall

Turn on the firewall and allow ports 137-139. That'll do the trick

You may also want to open port 445.
