find the devices....


Hi... I am tring to find out how i can explore using a script file the network devices that a system has....
Any good suggestion?

Uhh.. lspci or ifconfig(if configured).

somthing like

IFCON=`/sbin/ifconfig`

echo $IFCON | grep eth0 | head -c 4
echo $IFCON | grep eth1 | head -c 4
echo $IFCON | grep eth2 | head -c 4
echo $IFCON | grep lo | head -c 2
