Fedora 7 and Active Directory

New to Linux and having some issues with joining Fedora to Windows AD. I have all setting correct I believe in the authentication tab, but when I attempt to join to the domain it just reverts back to the authentication tab for configuring Winbind. I then tried to reconfigure the krb5.conf file and that is non existant, yet I was able to configure the Kerberos setting in authentication??
Any ideas what is going on here? This is the error I am receiving -

/usr/bin/net: relocation error: /usr/bin/net: symbol
krb5_get_init_creds_opt_alloc, version krb5_3_MIT not defined in file
libkrb5.so.3 with link time reference

Ok was able tio successfully join Fedora 7 to the domain, but now I can not ping the box by its name only its IP. I do have a ptr record setup and when I do a nslookup I am resolving to that name.
Any ideas what else I should be looking for?
