I'm currently "Tri-Booting" MS-DOs 6.22, Windows 2000 Pro, and Fedora Core 4. I want to install FC5 but I need a question answered. Will the FC5 installer allow me the option of preserving my current FC installation or allow me to simply upgrade it to FC5? If so, would the upgrade option preserve what I've already done with my FC4 as far as all the software and modules I've installed, or will I have to do all of that all over again? If it would save me some work, I'm thinking of simply upgrading. If I have to download and install everything again either way, I'd rather hang on to my fc4 along with the newer FC5, at least untill the Fc5 is updated and I have my software installed. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

You can upgrade your FC4 installation to FC5 and the system will be mostly left intact. Save any important data and config files and you should be alright. Unfortunately you may have to reinstall or reconfigure some things, but this may not be too much of a chore depending on your system. If you have a spare partition, you can always leave FC4 intact and use the free partition for FC5.
