Unhappy Help: socket does not close!

I developed a small client-server application in java.
The server uses the ports 8080 and 8081.
The problem is that when i close the application i have to wait in order to restart it again.

In fact, as i close the application, the server ports(8080 and 8081) remain in Close_Wait status and i can't reuse them again for at least a minute or so.

Being still in developing status, this is kinda frustating because i need to stop a restart it again a lot of time in order to debug the application.
I'm basically forced to use Windows (Oh my God!!) to do the debugging because windows doesn't not have this "problem" (when i close the app the server ports are immediately avaible...)

Any help??
