Ethernet device not found
Hello
I've installed Debian on my old Sony Vaio (VPCCW2S1E/R), but I'm having a great deal of trouble regarding my Ethernet card. The WiFi is working fine.
I've run the lspci command, and have found nothing that could seem like an ethernet card.
(Result of lspci: http://pastebin.com/7JUJA3UF)
I've also run the dmesg command, and again, I can find nothing regarding ethernet.
(Result of dmesg: http://pastebin.com/FxZf4Bf4)
Anyone know what i can do to help me fix this issue?

How do you think your card is good?

I think nini09 is asking whether you are certain the ethernet card is functional.
I would suggest booting into a Live CD of something ( Knoppix is designed for this sort of stuff) and seeing whether the Live CD sees the ethernet card. If it doesn't, you may be looking at a hardware problem with the card.
Knoppix is based on Debian. If you want to use something not based on Debian, there's Porteus, which is based on Slackware. There's also the System Rescue CD.

The Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless Network Adapte provide WiFi only, not Ethernet. The layer 2 protocol is 802.11 only, no 802.3.

Just for curiosity, does this computer have an ethernet port or is the Atheros the only source of network connectivity?
