Ethernet cable


How do I get on the internet using knoppix 3.4 from an ethernet cable?

On windows it works automatically, but on knoppix I don't know where to go to show that I am have a way to get on the internet.

from the K button where do I go and what do I do?

If I remember you go to Internet and configure networking. If you are using a router that issues a dhcp lease then use dhcp and card should pick up a lease. If it doesn't then you will have to use static addressing by assigning an address on the same subnet as the router.
