Is the sound Card ISA or PCI. If ISA then make the IRQ needed for the sound card from PNP to Legacy. Just for a try remove the sound card and only have the nic installed and see if networking works. No other thoughts come to me yet.

OK! I managed to solve all my problems with a simple solution:
Disabled P'n'P on the BIOS.

Everything's working just fine: eth0 and sound.

But now I have another problem... my mandrake distro is just acting toooooooo sloooooow!!!!

I tried reinstalling 3 times already, but it just stays the same.
