Angry eth0 boot problems - help!!

Hey -
I just installed RedHat Linux 7.1 on my desktop PC, and am trying to figure out how to configure it to reach the internet through my previously existing LAN. The problem: any time eth0 tries to come up, I get an error saying "Delaying eth0 initiailization", and then it fails. What's the problem? Each internal computer on the network is set to a static IP of 192.168.1.X - the gateway (another linux machine set up to do IP Masquerading) is 192.168.1.1, and then has its other ethernet card set to the external static IP address. Thanks for your help.

Delaying eth0 initialization usually refers to it trying to get a dhcp IP address from some server. If you are trying to use static IPs then I would suggest editing the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to auto setup the IP and other info for the NIC to work.
