Earthlink Home network Option using router

Has anyone persued the Earthlink Home Network option?

Has anyone gotten it to work with RH 8.0?

Earthlink is asking for $99 for there router, ( see no point in buying their hardware if they are not going to support it)

Is there a better option?

What is Earthlinks home networking option? I use earthlink dial-up with my linux machines and it works like a charm. I bet they just put thier symbol on a lynksys router and package it. I would check to see what it would cost to put it together yourself and weigh it against their package. If you need to use their connection software, then I doubt it would work with Linux..

Sounds like you should check how much you would need to pay for a router and compare. Unless they're offering something more ...?
