dynamic ip problem
i am in init3 and i dont have GUI.
While installation, i have selected to take a dynamic IP for the system.
Now, i want to change it to static IP from terminal
when i try to ifconfig eth0 192.168.24.16, its giving the following error

Is there any way to do it?
Why is my /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices contain nothing?
when we do the static configuration, it gives ifcfg-eth0 file in the same directory.
I am so confused.
