Cool DNS multiple domain question

hello all,

I am trying to set up a DNS server on Redhat 7.2 'out of the box'. I am wondering how to set up master zone..etc. I have 2 .com domains. abc.com and def.com. They both point to NS1.abc.com on all root .com servers. www.abc.com resolves fine, as does any host I add with correct IP address. I want to know how to set up def.com zone/domain local in my dns config, named.conf and zone file? Two master zones? One master and one slave? (this only gives me the option of def.abc.com).

on the local machine I can ping anything I create under def.com ie. www, ftp, etc... but can't resolve through dig or nslookup local or remote.

dig looks up anything from remote locations pointing them to my NS1.abc.com domain name server.

Anymore information needed or tips, etc.. please email me at jmcrtp@yahoo.com.

Thanks in advance.
