DHCP Client settings
I have an interface eth0. On network restart it produces a file named dhclient-eth0.conf. Things go well until here.
I then run the /sbin/dhclient -F "abc-def.xyz.com"
This command however fails to register my hostname to the dns.
If i use the command as /sbin/dhclient -F "abc-def.xyz.com" -cf "/etc/dhclient-eth0.conf" I am able to successfully register.
Is there a way to run the above dhclient script without specifying the -cf option but using the dhclient-eth0.conf file?
I am using a CentOS distribution.
Thanks,
Shivkumar
